Child Sexual Abuse Prevention

Dakota Medical Foundation

The Dakota Medical Foundation Child Sexual Abuse Prevention initiative teaches a set of preventative stq rategies to help protect children from sexual abuse. Training covers the scope of CSA (Child Sexual Abuse), local news, the financial burden of CSA, who is at risk, behavior patterns of abusers, and reviews the “Ten Steps to Protect”.

Nurturing Healthy Sexual Development

Prevent Child Abuse Vermont

Adults often feel discomfort speaking with children about sexual development, though children want conversations about it. Also, some adults may not know the developmentally expected sexual behaviors of children or how to respond. This training provides adults with this knowledge and also practical skills indicated in research to decrease the development of harmful sexual behaviors during childhood and decrease risk of child sexual abuse. This training was created by Prevent Child Abuse Vermont. This training is 2 ½ hours.

Darkness to Light

Darkness to Light’s flagship, evidence-informed prevention training to help adults prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The training is 2 ½ hours and features survivor stories, experts in the field, and other concerned individuals all providing practical guidance to prevent child sexual abuse.

North Dakota Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Task Force

This presentation covers what CSA is, its prevalence & impacts, grooming behaviors & prevention strategies (for adults & children). This presentation also covers the history of the North Dakota Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Task Force, the goals of the Task Force, and highlights a statewide environmental scan that was conducted in 2022. This presentation can include additional information on how to identify problematic sexual behavior in children

Keeping Children Safe : Learning to spot the signs of sexual grooming & how to react responsibly.

This training includes what sexual grooming looks like, how to react responsibly if you spot these inappropriate behaviors, and how to talk to children about safely interacting with adults.
