PROJECT LAUNCH
The Richland County Pilot Project is projected to launch in January 2023. The project will conclude in December of 2023.
The project will be implemented in two phases: Phase 1 is January - June and Phase 2 is July - December.

WHY IS THIS PROJECT IMPORTANT?
Child sexual abuse is a vast public health problem.
1 in 4 girls and 1 in 13 boys experience child sexual abuse.
90% of children are abused by someone they know, love or trust.
Child sexual abuse impacts Richland County.
CHILDREN DESERVE TO BE HAPPY, HEALTHY, AND SAFE.
The goal is to use the results from the pilot project to develop a comprehensive and sustainable model for child sexual abuse prevention that can be utilized & adopted across North Dakota. After this pilot project has been completed, the aim is to conduct a similar Pilot Project within tribal communities. If this project saves one child from falling victim to child sexual abuse it will have been worth it, however, this project will impact the lives of many children and families across Richland County.
